About SweetStamps.com
SweetStamps.com has been in business since 1995. The business started out under the name Sweet Impressions Inc. and was located in the state of Washington. In 2007, the business changed hands and the new owner, Stacey Adams, moved the company to her home state of Michigan. The company became SweetStamps.com in 2010 to match the name of the website.
After operating a retail store for nearly a decade, and a busy couple of years doing rubber stamp shows part-time, the decision was made to close the retail store and take the company on the road full-time. For 5+ years, I traveled in a 1961 GM bus conversion (with my three homeschooled children) to demo, sell and teach at rubber stamp and paper craft conventions throughout the U.S.
In 2013, SweetStamps.com became the new home of Globecraft Memories & Piccolo Decor {now just referred to as Piccolo}. We were super excited to add these fantastic products to our line-up, they are a great addition to our stamps! Here's a little background about Globecraft Piccolo: Globecraft Memories was born out of a desire to display pocket size family keepsakes with the photo of the one who owned them. Globecraft founder, Pat Secrist, had a box of small family keepsakes some dating back more than 100 years. These small treasures meant a lot to him and connected him with loved ones both past and present. He wanted to put them out so that he could enjoy seeing them every day but they were too small to just lie on a shelf. Because they were 3D he couldn’t put them in a scrapbook either. Globecraft Bubble Frame kits were his solution to the problem. He based his product concept on the elegantly designed Victorian bubble glass picture frames of the past.
Globecraft Bubble Frames offer scrapbookers the opportunity to put their photos and 3D keepsakes in a modern version of those Victorian frames. Scrapbookers can use their own supplies to make these classic display systems for a fraction of the cost that they would normally pay for the originals. Now those small keepsakes can be out where everyone can enjoy them! They make great gifts too!
Piccolos came along when Pat was looking for a way to decorate the bubble frames. Piccolos are tiny, delicately detailed laser cut bookboard designs that add the look of hand carved detail. Papercrafters and card makers loved these too because they were just the right size. Pat also created a line of specialty Piccolo enamel powders that work like embossing powder. The colors and textures of these powders are perfect for these tiny bits of art. Some of the new powders are designed to look like precious metals, giving the Piccolos the look of jewelry.
On a personal note, in 2017, I got remarried and gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl in December.
It is my hope to inspire you on your creative journey.
Have a sweet day,
Stacey Adams & family
