Vellum Etching (White Working)
Stamps with simple lines work best. By etching and embossing the vellum, you are left with a beautiful design in white, like the cards shown above. Notice how when you lightly emboss the edges of the roses they have a shaded look. As you can see in the cards above, white working looks gorgeous layered onto any color of paper.
Stamps used:
Butterfly & Roses card: 423 Cutwork Card (outside frame only) and 7020 Rose Oval
Rose in Oval Frame card: 424 Oval Scroll Frame and 7047 Embroidery Rose
Heat emboss the image with a fine detail embossing powder or dry emboss the image by turning your vellum over and tracing the stamped lines with a stylus. Remember to use an etching/ embossing mat under your vellum when dry embossing.
